Changes in leadership made JP vibrant: Ershad
09 February 2016, Nirapad News: Jatiya Party Chairman and former president Hussain Muhammad Ershad today said refurbishment in leadership level made his party vibrant.
“Some changes in the party leadership, particularly the replacement in the position of the secretary general has created enthusiasms in the party rank and file,” he said while addressing a Jatiya Party meeting at Immanuel’s Convention Centre at Gulshan here.
Ershad added: “I have taken appropriate decision to strengthen the party . . . my decision will not change.”
Jatiya Party recently witnessed positioning of GM Qader as the co-chairman and Ruhul Amin Hawladar as the secretary general while Ershad’s comments came as it staged the meeting of its grassroots leaders ahead of the upcoming Union Council election.
Quader, Hawladar and Jatiya Party presidium members were present at the meeting, while Raushawn Ershad and leaders known as her followers did not attend it.
