16 May 2015, Nirapad News: Mohammadpur Preparatory School authorities on Saturday afternoon announced the verbal expulsion of vice-principal Zinnatunnesa over the protest of guardians against her remarks on the alleged rape of a class-I student of the institution.
Earlier in this morning, guardians of students of Mohammadpur Preparatory School & College (Girl’s Unit) gathered in front of the educational institution in city and protested against the rape of one of its class-I student.
They also chanted slogans against the assistant headmistress Zinnatunnesa, a teacher of English, demanding her immediate expulsion and appropriate punishment for her ‘negligence in duties’.
The agitated guardians also vandalized the main entrance and windows of the institution.
Meanwhile, Mohammadpur Preparatory School & College trustee board member Dr M Tamim, who was the energy adviser of former caretaker government, told that the report by the investigation committee over the incident is yet to be submitted.
According to the trustee member, a class-I student’s mother on May 9 complained to the authorities that someone tried to rape her daughter on May 5.
He further said. ‘We have formed a three-member investigation committee to look into the matter with the directives to submit a report within three days. Today (Saturday) was the last date. But we extended the date of report submission by three more days due to some special reasons’.
‘We have installed CC cameras on the campus and appointed ‘aya’ in front of washrooms so that students can inform them whenever they face any problem,’ he added.
