Community clinics playing vital role: Naryan
11 May 2015, Nirapad News: State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Naryan Chandra Chanda today said doctors and nurses should give highest services for masses despite different limitations.
He was addressing in a view-exchange meeting with doctors-nurses, students and employees of Khulna Medical College (KMC) at its auditorium.
Terming Bangladesh has been awarded international prize for reducing mothers and children mortality rate, he said that this government is determined to ensure safe motherhood.
Community Clinics changes health care facilities to people, he said adding that the government set up community clinics to reach health services at doorsteps to people.
He, however, said emergency clinical instruments to be supplied here despite our limited resources for ensuring health services to people.
The minister said the present government is working relentlessly for building a poverty free prosperous country which was dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He also said the Padma Bridge, Khanjahan Ali Airport and modern Railway line would play vital roles for the development of the southern region of the country.
Chaired by the principal of KMC Dr. Abdullah-AL-Mahbub, the meeting was attended by the President and General Secretary of Khulna Unit BMA Sheikh Baharul Alam and Dr. Md. Mehedi Newaz as the special guests.
Super of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) Dr. Proshanta Kumar Biswas, Convenor of Teachers Association of KMCH Dr. Mrinal Kanti Sarker, among others, spoke on the occasion.
