Conspirators creating anarchy in different way: RAB chief

10 November 2015, Nirapad News: Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benzir Ahmed today said the conspirators and defeated forces are creating anarchy in the country.

“In the last year and recently they killed innocent people and cops by petrol bombs, the criminals were killed eight people including foreigners, blogger and cops,” he said.

He was addressed in a press briefing at Khulna Circuit House premises after holding a law and order meeting with Law Enforcement Agencies and different Detective Agencies here.

“There is no members and structural organization of Islamic State (IS) in Bangladesh, the RAB chief said.

“We defeated JMB and others militant forces in the previous years. Militants would never be allowed to make their root in Bangladesh,” he said.

He said, “We have a good reputation for hospitality, but some are trying to tarnish the image. We are providing all kinds of security to the foreigners in Bangladesh.”

The RAB chief said, the RAB arrested 109 JMB during last nine months. Among them, many have been released from the court but they cannot raise their heads anymore across the country.

RAB DG said the law enforcement members are always alert against the terrorist groups those who are creating anarchy here.

He also said, Bangladesh is marching towards a develop country and the development is going on smoothly. Anti Liberation forces are active to obstruct the trial of Liberation War criminals across the country, but the law enforcement agencies and other forces are always ready to tackle the situation.

Among others, Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md. Abdus Samad, Khulna Police Commissioner Nibash Chandra Majhi, Khulna Range DIG Moniruzzaman Mony, Khulna Police Super Habibur Rahman were present at the press briefing.
