6 October 2015, Nirapad News: “Criticize us as much as you want but don’t provoke or advocate militancy, arson or war criminals, “Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said here today.
The minister was speaking at a meeting on “World Habitat Day” at the Housing and Building Research Institute here.
The minister said Sheikh Hasina’s dynamic leadership had been appreciated, globally and she had been awarded particularly for her efforts to face the adverse effects of climate change.
Inu said it was our duty to clean the Augean stable of militancy, communalism, arson by fire and other debris.
He also said much of urban crime was generated from unplanned slums. And cities could never grow with slums in their midst. “Every city must plan for the shelter of its poor,” he added.
“They could not be allowed to squat on every free space,” he said. Later, the minister inaugurated the “Housing and Construction Exhibition-2015.
