Ctg doctors call off ‘cease work’ after five days
24 January 2016, Nirapad News: Doctors in Chittagong have called off their ‘cease work’ after five days of suffering by patients and their relatives.
Dr Mujibul Haque Khan, President the port city unit of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), announced the end of the ‘cease work’ after assurances from Chittagong Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin.
“We are calling off the ‘cease work’ because we have been promised an honourable settlement by Mayor Nasir Uddin. So we will start attending to patients in our private chamber and nursing homes for the time being,” Khan said.
The next course of action will be finalised within seven days after discussions involving the mayor, BMA leaders and journalists, he added.
