Deal signed to build 132-KV Transmission Lines

09 February 2015, Nirapad News : Contract signed on Sunday between the state-owned Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) and KEC International to build a 132-KV transmission line to import 100 MW electricity from Palatana Power Plant in Tripura of India.

Under the contract, the KEC will construct a 19-km transmission line from Comilla (South) Substation to Comilla (North) Substation at a contract value of Tk 250 million in the next 10 months on a turnkey.

PGCB secretary Md Ashraf Hossain and KEC country head KK Sinha signed the contract on behalf of their respective sides at a function at the PGCB office in the city, according to a news agency.
