Digitization spreading from city to village
09 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique said here today that the government was working relentlessly to implement the “Digital Bangladesh” programme from city to village by providing massive digital services as part of declaration of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“The government is sincerely working in different fields of ICT to spread the digitization process aimed at building a Digital Bangladesh by 2021,” he told in an inaugural function of `Jagannath Hall Computer Lab’ financed by the South East Bank Limited (SEBL) at the Jagannath Hall auditorium in the university.
Provost Prof Dr Asim Sarkar presided over the function while Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Sitanshu Kumar Shur Chowdhury, DU Business Studies Faculty Dean Prof. Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam and the SEBL Managing Director Shahid Hossain attended the function.
The VC thanked Bangladesh Bank and the SEBL for the assistance in various fields of DU development works and hoped that the assistance would continue in the future.
