Diplomats satisfied over security measures by government
6 October 2015, Nirapad News: Diplomats have expressed satisfaction over the security measures taken by the government in the wake of killing two foreigners recently.
British High Commissioner Robert Gibson, who is also dean of diplomatic core, made the remark while talking to journalists after the diplomats in Bangladesh held a meeting with Bangladesh foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali at the state guest house Padma on Tuesday afternoon.
Gibson said, “We are happy over the steps taken by the government following killing of Tavella in Dhaka and Hoshi at Rangpur. We have to jointly combat the evil forces”.
Foreign minister Mahmood Ali said, “We have briefed the foreign diplomats in Dhaka on the law and order situation in the country, and security measures taken by the government”.
The foreign diplomats lauded the government’s security measures, the foreign minister claimed.
“We have assured the diplomats of proper investigation into the killing of two foreigners, and the perpetrators would be brought to book,” Mahmood Ali added.
