DMP to operate mobile courts against adulteration during Ramadan
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today decided to conduct drives of the mobile courts against adulterated food items during the Holy month of Ramada slated for begin from May 17 next.
“We will also take legal action against the people who will create obstruction of vehicular movements with putting construction materials on footpaths and in front of houses,” DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia told a press briefing held at DMP Media Centre at Mintoo Road here.
The mobile courts under the direct supervision of the DMP have been asked to take action in line with the law in case of selling adulterated foods and for creating obstruction of traffic movements with putting construction materials on roads, he also said.
High officials of DMP, representatives from different private and public service producing organizations, shop owners association, bus owners association, launch owners association, BGMEA, BKMEA, two Dhaka city corporations and different financial institutions, were present on the occasion.
