Dr Moshiur urged reporters to make objective reporting

5 March 2015, Nirapad News: Prime Minister’s economic affairs adviser Dr. Moshiur Rahman on Thursday called upon journalists to represent objective information in their reports in the newspapers.

He said this while speaking as chief guest at the concluding function of a basic training workshop on journalism at the seminar room of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).

PIB director general Shah Alamgir chaired the function, also addressed, by Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Abul Kalam Azad and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) president Altaf Mahmud as special guests. PIB director (administration) Mujibur Rahman and vice-president of Barisal Press Club MM Amzad Hossain also spoke.

Moshiur Rahman said, a vested quarter has been torching public and private properties and blasting petrol bombs to thwart the development process initiated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and they should be resisted together.

A total of 28 journalists of Barisal had been imparted with basic training in journalism at the PIB organised workshop that started on March 3.
