DSE down, CSE up at opening
10 November 2015, Nirapad News: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw downward trend while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw the positive mood in early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third session of the week.
The prime index of the DSE –DSEX, went down by 6.81 points or 0.15 per cent to reach at 4,410.08, after first 30 minutes of the trade when the report was filed at 11am, although it gained nearly 28 points within first 15 minutes of trade. The two other indices also saw negative trend. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips fell 0.59 points or 0.03 per cent to reach at 1,679.64. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 1.41 points or 0.13 per cent to stand at 1,067.18. DSE turnover stands at Tk 486 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 124 advanced, 68 declined and 41 remained unchanged. IFAD Autos was the most traded stocks till then with shares Tk 38 million changing hands followed by Emerald Oil, Titas Gas, Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills and United Power. The port city bourse – the CSE, however, saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index — CSCX – gaining 14.23 points to stand at 8,230.35, also at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 45 gained, 22 declined and 7 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 29 million.
