DU to observe World Mental Health Day
8 October 2015, Nirapad News: Dhaka University (DU) has chalked out two-day long programs to observe the World Mental Health Day-2015 on October 10.This year the theme is ‘Dignity in Mental Health’.
Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology (DECP) and Innovation for Wellbeing Foundation (IWF) will jointly organize a workshop at RC Mazumder Auditorium from 9am to 1pm.
DU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the workshop.
Clinical Psychology Department, Bangladesh Clinical Psychology Society (BCPS) and Nasirullah Psychotherapy Unit (NPU) will jointly form a human chain in National Press Club at 9am.
Later, a seminar will be held in Teacher-Student Centre auditorium at 11am in this regard. Pro-vice-chancellor (education) Prof Dr Nasrin Ahmad will attend the seminar as the chief guest with Prof of Clinical Psychology department Dr Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman in the chair.
Besides, free psychological evolution and psychotherapy services will be arranged from 10am to 5pm at TSC Games Room.
Student Guidance and Counseling Office and DECP will arrange a day-long mental health information stall in TSC premises on October 11.
