Epic full-length trailer of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice released (VIDEO)
12 July 2015, Nirapad News: Batman might not have any super powers to take on Superman with, but he’s got billions of dollars and more rage than anyone could normally handle.
The first full-length trailer for upcoming superhero sequel Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been released and it is, in a word, epic.
Ben Affleck makes his on-screen debut as both the Dark Knight and billionaire Bruce Wayne, and it looks like his heartbreaking reason he hates Superman so much has been revealed.
In a stunning scene Affleck’s Bruce is seen running into a war zone as a battle between Henry Cavil’s Man of Steel and an enemy destroys Wayne Tower in Gotham.
The vengeful hero is then seen clutching a newspaper report with the words: “You let your family die” scrawled across it.
As Wayne is then seen holding a young girl close, surrounded by devastation, it looks as if the fight between Superman and General Zod led to the death of Wayne’s family.
Could this mean that Bruce’s great love, Selina Kyle, is dead?
The pair were last seen in a cafe in Florence having left the superhero life behind, but with Superman’s battle to save the planet wreaking untold destruction, it’s possible that the woman who would become Catwoman could have been killed and that the billionaire playboy gets back into the suit for revenge.
“That’s how it starts. The fever. The rage, a feeling of powerlessness that turns good men cruel,” says Jeremy Iron’s Alfred to Batman, as his fury grows.
“He has the power to wipe out the entire human race,” Batman counters. “I’m going to have to destroy him.”
Zac Snyder’s epic vision for the DC Universe seems to have paid off with the special effects looking years ahead of other movies.
In one scene, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman – who appears to have joined Batman in his quest to destroy Superman – is seen slamming her bracelets together to create a huge energy wave.
There’s even a nod to the Joker as Batman looks upon an old costume of his emblazoned with graffiti reading: “HAHAHAHA. Joke’s on you Batman.”
Oh, and Lex Luthor’s got a huge chunk of Kryptonite. And, from what it seems, General Zod’s corpse.
So while the twenty-something Luthor might not seem as dangerous as the previous incarnations of the character, Jesse Eisenberg’s seems deliciously demented.
