Ex-MP’s house attacked in Laxmipur
03 October 2015, Nirapad News: The house of former BNP MP from Laxmipur-4 constituency Ashraf Uddin came under attack allegedly by local activists of Jubo League and BCL at Char Laurence in Kamalnagar upazila on Friday.
Witnesses said a group of local Jubo League and Bangladesh Chhatra League activists, led by Jubo League leaders Raju and Bappi, launched the attack on the house of Ashraf Uddin, also president of Ramgati unit of BNP, in the evening when a conference of Char Falcon unit of BNP was underway.
The attackers also vandalised two private cars of Laxmipur BNP general secretary Sahabuddin Sabu and its organising secretary Hasibur Rahman and four motorcycles.
On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control, assistant police super (circle) M Nasim Miah said.
BNP leaders claimed that 11 leaders and activists of BNP, Jubo Dal and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal were also injured in the attack.
They were taken to Sadar Hospital and Kamalnagar Health Complex.
Contacted, Ramgati upazila Jubo League convener Mejbah Uddin VP Helal denied the attack, saying the incident was the factional clash of BNP.
