Expatriate Bangladeshis of Europe greet PM
18 January 2017, Nirapad News: Expatriate Bangladeshis living in different European countries have greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of her visit to Switzerland.
The expatriate Bangladeshis, who came from different cities of Switzerland and its neighbouring states, extended their greetings to the premier on Tuesday by gathering in front of Silveretta Park Hotel where Sheikh Hasina is staying during her visit to Switzerland.
They chanted various slogans hailing the prime minister and wished success of her participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting.
“With her joining such a high-profile meeting, Bangladesh’s image has been brightened further on the world stage,” said Sultan Mahmud Sharif, the president of UK chapter of Awami League.
The expatriates also thanked WEF Executive Chairman Professor Klaus Schwab for inviting the premier to the WEF annual meeting.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now in Davos on a five-day official visit to Switzerland to attend the 47th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
