Five Japan national murder suspects remanded
25 November 2015, Nirapad News: A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed five suspected people on four-day remand over the murder of Japanese woman Heroi Miyeta in city’s Uttara area.
Metropolitan magistrate Snigdha Rani Saha passed the order in response to a 10-day remand for each arrested accused by police.
Uttara East Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Bakar Mia produced before the five accused before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
The arrestees are indentified as Maruful Islam, Rashedul Haque Khan Bappi, Fakhrul Islam, Dr Bimal Chandra Sheel and Jahangir Alam.
The body of the Japanese national was recovered from Uttara residential area Tuesday morning.
After killing, the miscreants also buried the body at Uttara sector-12 Khalpar graveyard indentifying her Muslim.
Deputy Commissioner of Uttara Zone of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Bidhan Tripura told banglanews that an officer of the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh filed a general diary (GD) on November 19 citing Heroi Miyeta has been missing for a several days.
Later on Sunday night, police filed a case after trace out of the grave of missing person, he added.
The DC of police also said the Japan national, had been working in Bangladesh for 10 years though her visa has expired in 2006.
