Four rural roads inaugurated in M’singh

21 March 2016, Nirapad News: Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Information Salahuddin Ahmed Mukti inaugurated the construction work of four rural roads in Muktagacha upazila of the district here today.

Salauddin laid the foundation stone of the construction work at a simple ceremony organised by the upazila engineering office.

The construction of four kilometer long road will be done under the supervision of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). The government has sanctioned Taka over two crore for the construction of roads, LGED sources said.

Roads are Muktagacha Nutan Bazar to Malotipur via Pathalia, Muktagacha Bidhaganj via Pirakandha, Muktagacha Devogram and Ramchandrapur Banbangla.

Secretary of upazila Jatiya Party (JP) Anissuzzaman, upazila Engineer Oshit Baran, officials of LGED, UP chairmen and local elites were present.

Salauddin said the development of rural communication is a vital part of rural development. He said the government has given priority to develop rural infrastructure and communication net work.

He hoped that after completion of the work the people of the areas could carry their agricultural products easily to upazila headquarters as well as different parts of the country and will get fair prices of their products.
