Goverment trains over 13 lakh youths for job: Biren
11 November 2015, Nirapad News: The government has provided skill development training to 13.67 lakh youths in different trade for getting jobs easily as well as creating self-employment across the country.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder told this in the Jatiya Sangsad today, while replying to a tabled question from treasury bench member Nurunnabi Chowdhury.
He said the Youth Development Directorate under the ministry provided 33 institutional and 41 non-institutional trainings to 13,67,9,06 young people including women during the government’s last regime.
The government has also ensured 4,75,967 youths’ self-reliance through self-employment from the total trained
personnel, the state minister told in Jatiya Sangsad.
Besides, the government provided taka 381,64,91,000 as loans among 1,05,450 self-employed young people for setting up and expanding their projects, who are involved in self-employment, he said.
“We have also increased young loan ceiling and expansion of family based loan programes at the upazila level,” Biren informed the House.
