Guardians must pay attention to kids about attendance: Minister

6 April 2018, Nirapad News: Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mostafizur Rahman, MP, today said the guardians would have to pay special attention to their kids about their regular attendance in schools.

“If the children are regular in classrooms at cordial efforts of guardians particularly mothers and they are taught quality education by the teachers, they will make themselves worthy citizens of the country”, he said.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mostafizur Rahman came up with the comments while addressing a mothers’ gathering on the premises of Independence Square of the town today as the chief guest.

Gaibandha Sadar upazila administration and upazila primary education office jointly arranged the function for the mothers aimed at motivating the mothers to achieve quality education.

Whip of the Jatiya Sangshad and local lawmaker Mahabub Ara Begum Gini, police super Abdul Mannan Miah, and mayor of Gaibandha municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon were present as special guests.

With deputy commissioner Gautam Chandra Pal in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by district primary education officer Aminul Islam Mondal, chairperson of Bridge Road Kalibaripara Government Primary School SK Tasher Ali, head teacher of Uttarpara Govt Primary School Mahmuda Akter, and assistant teacher of Maddhyapara Govt. Primary School Ibtia Banu while upazila assistant primary education officer Shahnaj Akter was the moderator.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mostafizur Rahman said there is no alternative to primary education because it is the foundation and backbone of all education.

The minister also called upon the mothers to be more serious about their children so that they could study attentively and lead the nation towards desired development as they are the assets of the future.

The minister asked the teachers to be more dedicated, punctual and professional while performing their duties as they are the architects of making enlightened citizens.

Earlier, the minister exchanged views with the mothers and the SMC chairpersons of different schools and said all the students of primary schools would be brought under stipend programme immediately.

A large number of mothers, SMC chairpersons, head teachers and officials including journalists attended the function.
