HR experts urge for separate ministry
28 February 2015, Nirapad News: Human Resource Experts urged for a separate ministry on Human Resources (HR) for the development of this sector. They demanded on Saturday morning at the inaugural session of ‘4th International Human Resource Conference’ at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in city’s Agargaon area.
The speakers said that the progress of an organization depends on the capability of its human resources and this particular department can develop the staff members of an organization as its asset.
According to the foreign delegates, Bangladesh is doing well in HR sector, which can be a separate ministry. This year’s HR convention is being held with the tagline ‘People Drive Business’.
Australian Human Resources Institute president Peter Wilson and Indian HR expert TV Raon, amongst others, were present at the ceremony chaired by Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM) treasurer Mashequr Rahman.
Mashequr said that there is no alternative of creating an efficient HR team at every organization. He, moreover, said that HR experts from different parts of the world were invited to share their ideas with the local experts.
According to Wilson, all the organizations should increase the use of technology at their HR departments to get swift and accurate preservation of information.
