IGP mourns death of five women Ansar in Kishoreganj
30 May 2015, Nirapad News: Inspector General of Police (IGP) today condoled the deaths of five women Ansar who died by drowning after an engine boat carrying them capsized in Kishoreganj’s Ghorautra River near the Mithaimoin town in the morning.
In a condolence message, he said expressed profound shock and sorrow at the deaths of the Ansar personnel saying, “This premature death is really an irreparable loss to the country. People will remember their sacrifices for long with due respect.”
The IGP conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of their departed souls.
The over-loaded engine boat with about 100 passengers sank soon after it left Mithaimoin at about 5 am today.
Five women Ansar aged between 35 and 40 years died. Meanwhile, most of the passengers could swim to safety but the five could not reach ashore.
