Nirapad News : Politician Imran Khan has finally confirmed that he did marry former BBC weather girl Reham Khan in secret.

The 62-year-old told reporters at Heathrow on Monday evening: “I am going to Pakistan to share good news about my marriage with the nation. I have nothing to hide.”

News of his marriage to the divorced mother-of-three broke last week, however Imran claimed the reports had been ‘greatly exaggerated’ and his sister revealed he had denied the marriage.
However as he arrived at Heathrow to return to Pakistan he appeared to have a change of heart and spoke openly about the nuptials.

Reports of the wedding have received negative backlash in Pakistan, particularly on social media.
Images of Reham wearing supposedly revealing clothing caused upset in the conservative Islamic country.

It was also believed that Imran’s family and his political party tried to talk him out of going ahead with the wedding.

Last week his sister Aleema claimed reports of the marriage were made up by her brother’s political oponoments in an attempt to bersmerge his reputation.

She told MailOnline: “This is the only way the opposition know how to attack him. These are the tactics they would stoop to. It’s out of control. I guess that is politics.

“I spoke to my brother a few days ago and he said it isn’t true.
“We, the family, just asked him outright, have you married her? And he said no. I don’t know if they are in a relationship, here [in Pakistan] you are either getting married or you are not.

“We’d be extremely happy if he marries a good person and settles down, of course we would. But it is not just his consideration, it’s a consideration for the country, it’s like a national-level decision.”

Imran was previously married to Jemima Goldsmith, who most recently dated Russell Brad.

The couple were hugely popular in Pakistan and helped Imran go from cricket star to respected politician.
