Bangladesh restricted India to 146/7 but kept losing wickets regularly. In the last 12 balls Bangladesh needed 17 runs. It could have been anybody’s game with 11 runs needed off the last over from Hardik Pandya.
Mushfiqur Rahim cracked Pandya through the covers for a boundary and scooped the next ball for another boundary but fell to the fourth ball hitting to Shikhar Dhawan at deep mid-wicket. Two runs needed off the last two balls, Mahmudullah lofted Pandya to Ravindra Jadeja, who pulled off a brilliant catch at deep mid-wicket for 18. Two runs needed off the last ball, Dhoni raced with the ball to run out Mustafizur Rahman to win the match.
