Nirapad News : India has beaten Zimbabwe by 6 wickets to finish the Cricket World Cup pool stages undefeated.

A century from Brendan Taylor (138 off 110) in his final ODI match was not enough to get Zimbabwe home in Auckland, with the African team posting 287 all out.

But a 196-run partnership between Suresh Raina (110 not out) and MS Dhoni (85 not out) enabled India to reach the target with eight balls to spare.

Zimbabwe looked to be in with a chance of an upset when the undefeated Indians fell to 4 for 92 following the dismissal of Virat Kohli (38 off 48) in the 23rd over, but Raina and Dhoni looked assured in chasing down the runs needed.

The match was essentially a dead rubber as Zimbabwe was already assured of missing the quarter-finals and India was guaranteed top spot in Pool B.
