India HRC orders to compensate for Felani murder
31 August 2015, Nirapad News: India Human Rights Commission on Monday ordered to pay 5-lakh Indian rupees to Falani family as compensation.
However, India Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead minor girl Falani Khatun on the border on January 7 in 2011.
The commission asked the central government to pay the compensation through India high commission in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh side lawyer of Falani murder case and also Kurigram public prosecutor Advocate Abraham Lincoln informed banglanews saying that the order primarily established that BSF had killed Falani.
Demanding the death penalty of Falani’s self-proclaimed killer Amiya Ghosh, the victim’s father Nurul Islam Nuru said that he wants justice not the compensation.
‘I want to see justice for Falani,’ the father added.
