Injury causes deaths of Banasree siblings : Doctors
01 March 2016, Nirapad News: The two siblings, who were found dead at their Banasree residence in the capital on Monday, might have been strangled, suspected physicians of the Forensic Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Tuesday.
They informed journalists after performing autopsy on the bodies.
The dead children are identified as Nusrat Jahan Aroni, 14, a Class-VII student of Viqarunnisa Noon School, and her younger brother Alvi Aman, 6, a nursery student of Holy Crescent School. They were the children of businessman M Amanullah.
M Sohel Mamud, Assistant Professor of the Forensic Department, told reporters that injury marks were found on different parts of their bodies including their necks and chins.
The two children died mysterious deaths at their home on Monday night.
The victims’ family members alleged that they went to sleep on Monday afternoon after taking foods bought from a Chinese restaurant the previous day.
Later, they were taken to the DMCH in an unconscious state where doctors declared the siblings dead.
Meanwhile, police detained the the restaurant owner for interrogation.
