International electrical and electronics conference ends at RUET
07 November 2015, Nirapad News: A three-day International Conference on Electrical and Electronic Engineering (ICEEE)-2015 ended in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) today.
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of RUET organized the ICEEE for the first time in order to take the technological growth one step forward as engineering and technology play a pivotal role in the development of today’s world.
The conference provided a highly interactive platform in which leading experts and researchers in the field of electrical and electronic engineering discussed recent scientific advances and sought cooperation from all over the world.
Prof Dr Shahidul Islam Khan from Department of Electrical and Electronics of BUET addressed the closing session as chief guest with Prof Dr Abdur Razzaque, chairman of preparatory Committee of the conference, in the chair.
Prof Dr Nawshad Amin from Kevansang University in Malaysia and Prof Dr Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, Dean of Electrical and Computer Science Faculty of RUET, spoke on the occasion as special guests. RUET Vice Chancellor Prof Rafiqul Alam Beg patronized the whole event.
More than eight renowned professors from Japan, China, Malaysia and India joined the conference. Besides, 200 students and professionals from home and abroad took part.
Prof Razzaque told journalists that more than eight keynote papers and 75 research papers were tabled in the conference.
The ICEEE focused the rapid strides and technological advancements in EEE in recent years. It opened a forum for technical excellence and exchange of technology between technocrats, research scholars and representatives from the academia and industry.
“We want to bring more than 300 worldwide leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars,” he added.
Widespread research and innovative practices are propelling the world to a new plateau of development.
Various modern issues like microwave and radio frequency, electrical machine, optical fiber communication, instrumentation and measurement, electro-magnetic field, power plant and high voltage engineering, smart power grid, multimedia system and image processing were discussed elaborately in the three-day grand event.
