Inu for overcoming obstacles to development of women, children
21 March 2016, Nirapad News: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu today called upon the information officers working at the district-level to play role in overcoming obstacles to the development of women and children.
“Superstations, misinterpretation of religion and militancy are the major hindrances to way of women and children’s development. District-level information officers will have to play a vital role to remove such kinds of obstacles,” he said.
The minister was addressing a workshop on “planning and review of communication program to the development of women and children” at Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) seminar room.
Information officers working at all 64 districts of the country are taking part in the two-day workshop organized by Directorate of Mass Communication with association of UNICEF.
“You would have to make the people aware about children and women rights by providing them with proper information ,” Inu said.
Director General of Directorate of Mass Communication Kamrun Nahar chaired the function while chief of Communication at UNICEF Neha Kapil attended the function as guest of honor.
