Inu urges filmmakers to play role in expelling Khaleda Zia from politics
15 March 2015, Nirapad News: Terming BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as “fire-terrorist and villain of politics”, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu today urged the filmmakers to come forward in expelling her from the field of politics.
“Those who burn people, will also burn films as militancy and communal-ism are the biggest enemies of film. That is why for the sake of their own survival, filmmakers have to fight against fire-terrorists, militants and communal forces,” he said.
Inu came up with the observations while addressing the inaugural session of Second International Women Film Festival at the Public Library Auditorium this evening.
Organized by Women’s Film Society (WFS) with the assistance from Fair and Lovely Foundation, the festival will show 70 films from different countries of the world including Bangladesh, an official release said.
Presided over by WFS chairperson Lailun Nahar Ekram, the inaugural function was also addressed by country’s legendary film actress Sarah Begum Kabori and information technology expert Rezwana Khan.
