Inu urges mobile operators to use common tower to reduce internet cost
10 Septembar 2015, Nirapad News: Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu today said if several mobile operators company use single tower, their infrastructural cost will decrease which will reduce internet cost in subscriber-level.
“If mobile operators of the country share common tower, they can further develop the networking system at lower cost,” he said while speaking at the deal singing function on “Structuring Mobile Tower” between Malaysia based edotco Bangladesh Company Limited and Confidence Steel Limited of Bangladesh at the closing session of International Infrastructure Summit at a city hotel.
The minister said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken many time-befitting decisions in the recent years. “The government is working earnestly to reach the cheap rate internet service to the footsteps of people,” he added.
Referring to the edotco which is making a new process to mobile networking tower, Hasanul Huq Inu hoped the deal will enhance employments and reduce digital and social discrimination.
The deal also proved that Bangladesh is investment friendly country and investment can be held here very easily, he added.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of edotco group Thiranka Rangala and Confidence Group CEO Salman Karim inked the deal on behalf of the their respective organizations.
