Islamic State admits to killing Italian national
29 September 2015, Nirapad News: Extremist outfit Islamic State (IS) confessed to carrying out the murder of an Italian national, Tavella Cesare (50), employee of an international organization called AISD.
SITE Intelligence Group, a jihadist threat monitoring portal, disclosed the matter.
Tavella Cesare was shot dead on Monday evening on Road no. 90 in Gulshan-2 in city.
However, police sources said they could not confirm the claim.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mokhlesur Rahman and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia visited the city’s United Hospital where the body was kept.
IGP) Mokhlesur Rahman said symptoms say the incident was pre-planned.
He further said three bikers fired three rounds of bullet and fled the spot.
He also said it is unlikely the muggers killed Tavella as all important belongings were found with the body.
He, however, said police started the investigation.
