Jahanara Kanchan Smriti High School bridges Ilias Kanchan’s spiritual bond with Sujanagar people
Sumel Sarker, 21 April 2016, Nirapad News: Actor Ilias Kanchan as if lost all his hopes, emotions, feelings, love and inspiration to live when Jahanara Kanchan died in a tragic road crash in 1993. Pure love of the common people, emotion from the heart for a hero bears the touch of holiness and people of Sujanagor village made this true through Jahanara Kanchan Smriti High School.
Sujanagor is a village of Pabna. The villager’s stood beside their favourite hero & introduced a memorable chapter. They helped him establish a school named after Late Jahanara Kanchan.
With the help of the general people & his fans, Ilias Kanchan founded the school in 1996. Through time, the school has become one of the best institution of the region. It is on its way to become a college very soon.
The love of Sujanagar people for their favourite hero is increasing day by day. A village market has formed beside the school named “Kanchan Bazar”. The area is now well-known as “Kanchan Nagar”.
In 19th April, Nirapad Sarak Chai Chairman, Ilias Kanchan along with his son Mirajul Moin Joy and daughter-in-law Fariha Fateh including Secretary of Nirapad Sarak Chai (Nischa), Samim Alam Dipen, Join Secretary Liton Arshad, Organizing Secretary SM Azad Hossen, Md. Motaleb Hossen.
Ilias Kanchan was fascinated seeing the present situation of the school. Head Master of the school, Habibur Rahman Nazim, Asst. teacher Abdul Momen, President of the School Managing Committee Abdur Razzak Mullah and other members of the committee greeted the guests with flowers.
Pabna Zilla NISCHA president, Khandakar Hasnain Koyel, former President, Hafizur Rahman were also present.
Mirajul Moin Joy says, I will never forget the Sujanagar people, they will be in my heart and I will come back here again & again to relive my mother’s memories.
At present, the number of the students is approximately one thousand. The average pass rate in JSC exam between 2013-15 is 98% and SSC is 96%.
The people of Sujanagar express their love to their favorite hero is not only an emotion but also a spiritual bond. One day it will be a unique example in global community.
