Jamalpur rail link restored after 9 hours
19 December 2015, Nirapad News: The rail communication of Jamalpur with other parts of the country was restored after nine hours of suspension following derailment of a train at Nandina Rail Station early Saturday.
Earlier, the engine and a bogie of a Mymenshingh-bound local train from Dewanganj veered off the tracks around 6 pm on Friday, halting the train communication with other parts of the country, said Jaharul Islam, station master of Jamalpur Railway Station.
Five trains, including two inter-city ones, remained stranded during suspension of the rail communication.
However, the train communication was restored around 3.00 am.
