Gazipur, 18 February 2015, Nirapad News: A fire broke out at an electronics factory of Jamuna Group in Shafipur area in Kaliakoir upazila Gazipur district on Wednesday night.

Fire service officials said the fire originated in the television (TV) section of the factory around 6 pm and soon spread over all the sections of the factory.

On information, 10 fire-fighting units from Kaliakoir, Savar EPZ and Gazipur rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after three and half hours of frantic efforts. The extent of the massive losses by the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
