Joint exercise between armies of Bangladesh-India starts

6 November 2017, Nirapad News: Armies of India and Bangladesh will take part in a 13-day joint training titled “Exercise Sampriti-7” in India’s states of Meghalaya and Mizorum from tomorrow.

The exercise will end on November 18, said an ISPR press release here today.

Main objectives of the exercise are conducting counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations in peacekeeping activities in the United Nations (UN), it also said.

The joint exercise was first held at Assam of India in 2011 and since then both the countries have been holding the exercise by turns.

High army officials of both the countries will inspect the exercise.
