Juba League activist shot dead in Chittagong
Chittagong, 26 February 2015, Nirapad News: Awami Juba League activist has been shot dead by suspected members of a rival faction in Raozan on Wednesday.
Mohammad Shahid (35) was killed around 4 pm on Wednesday, said Chittagong district Assistant Superintendent of Police (Hathazari circle) AFM Nizam Uddin.
Quoting witnesses, he said Shahid was sitting at a shop at Chara Bottol bazar of the municipality when several armed gunmen shot him.
“Our preliminary suspicion is that conflict between two local rival groups led to the murder,” said the ASP. However, police were yet to make any arrest over the incident.
