Kamal seeks Japan’s assistance to ease Dhaka’s traffic
23 November 2015, Nirapad News: Planning Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal has sought Japanese assistances to ease the nagging traffic in capital Dhaka.
He urged Japan to come up with investment to construct metro-rail and subway rail in Dhaka as well as Dhaka-Chittagong express way for rail communication.
The minister made the request during his visit to Tokyo, said a planning ministry press release today.
Mustafa Kamal, during the visit, met with Japanese finance, commerce and industries minister, state minister for foreign affairs and JICA president.
Terming the proposal of the planning minister as realistic for easing traffic, Japan requested Bangladesh to place formal proposal.
