“Khaleda is Mad, may Allah give her good sense” says Hasina
5 February 2015, Nirapad News: While Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, prime minister Sheikh Hasina said the BNP chairperson ‘could not be trusted as she was going through psychological perversion’.
In reply to a query by ruling MP Abdul Matin Khasru, the prime minister said, “Examinations could be taken during shutdowns. But the life of a student is much more important to me.”
According to Hasina, her arch political rival appeared to have lost all sense of good and evil after taking a wrong political decision. “It is not Khaleda but the people who are paying for her mistake. “She is going through psychological perversion. She cannot be trusted in any way,” she said.
Hasina said that, though the students taking the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations this year were mentally disturbed because of the exams being deferred, it was done in view of the risk involved.
“The lives of the students are invaluable. They cannot be exposed to the fire,” Hasina said. “Khaleda Zia…won’t hesitate to kill the children,” she continued.
Hasina, the Leader of the House, expressed the hope that the students would do well in the exams, overcoming their anxiety. She also spoke about steps taken by the government in the interest of the students.
Bangladesh Nationalist Front MP Abul Kalam Azad asked a supplementary question to know when steps would be taken against the ‘mad one’.
“She who is mad, ferocious will have to take the responsibility. There is no doubt about this,” Hasina said. She hope good sense would prevail on Khaleda. “I wish the people could live in peace. May Allah give her (Khaleda) good sense,” she added.
