14 May 2015, Nirapad News: Relief and Disaster Management Minister and Dhaka City Awami League (AL) General Secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya (Bir Bikram) said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been finally caught by the countrymen with the ending of Salahuddin Ahmed’s disappearance drama.

“Khaleda Zia sent BNP leaders into hiding as part of the conspiracy of toppling the government as well as killing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said while addressing an extended meeting of Dhaka City AL as the chief guest.

Acting President of Dhaka City AL MA Aziz presided over the meeting. Among others, vice-presidents Fayezuddin Mia, Mukul Chowdhury and Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, joint general secretary Awlad Hossain, organizing secretary Shahe Alam Murad and office secretary Sahidul Islam Milon spoke on the occasion.

He also demanded an urgent investigation about links of Khaleda Zia to different militant organizations of the globe and Salahuddin Ahmed’s stay in India.

“The BNP is still hatching conspiracy for reviving of third force to go to the power through backdoor, but we are now facing all their conspiracies with support of the countrymen,” he said, adding that the win in city corporation polls have proved again that the people of the country with the AL.

The meeting decided that Dhaka City AL will organize a discussion at the auditorium of the Institution of Engineers in the city at 3pm on May 16 marking the Homecoming Day of AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on May 17.

Deputy Leader of the House and AL Presidium Member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury is expected to present at the discussion as the chief guest.

Dhaka City AL will also bring out a colorful procession on May 22 from Suhrawardi Udyan to celebrate the AL’s win in the city corporation polls, win of the three Bangladeshi-born women in the UK elections, and passing the Land Boundary Agreement in Indian parliament.
