Knife attacker who killed Ansar member at Dhaka airport shifted to DMCH
7 November 2016, Nirapad News: The man who swooped on the security personnel at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with knife has been shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with tight security.
Attacker Shihab, 28, was taken to the DMCH around 9:50pm on Sunday.
Resident surgeon Dr. Jesmin Nahar at the Emergency Department said two injury marks were found on his head and right leg.
Police suspect Shihab might have received the injuries from his own knife.
The knife-wielding man attacked security personnel at the entrance of the departure lounge of the airport on Sunday evening, leaving an Ansar member dead and three other security guards injured.
Sub-inspector Alamgir Hossain of Airport Police Station identified the deceased as Shohagh Ali, 30, an Ansar member who was on duty at the airport.
Alamgir said three Ansar members were also admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital with stab injuries.
Confirming the knife attack, AAP commanding officer Rashedul Islam Khan said four other ansar members also sustained injuries in the attack.
