Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has withdrawn his comment over unvaccinated travel by people aged 18 and above following wide criticism.
The minister withdrew his comment through a press release issued by the ministry on Wednesday.
It said all citizens aged above 18 will be brought under vaccination in phases.
On Tuesday, the minister after attending a meeting on coronavirus infection, said that people over 18 years will not be allowed to travel outside without a vaccine.
Travels by adults after August 11 without receiving the COVID vaccine will be treated as a ‘punishable offence’, he added.
