Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said lockdown does not require to impose if people wear masks and follow the health guidelines.
“Lockdown is meaningless if people show carelessness ignoring the health guidelines,” he said while speaking a regular press briefing at his official residence in the capital on Tuesday morning.
Quader said wearing masks properly gives maximum protection from coronavirus infection.
The Awami League General Secretary said corona infection has now spread to rural areas. There was a time when many though that people in villages would not be infected by coronavirus. But, proving this notion, coronavirus has now spread from village to village. Infection rate is crossing the previous day’s infection rate everyday. In such a situation, everyone will have to follow health guidelines strictly apart from wearing masks.
Quader also called upon the people to move cautiously instead of thronging to haats and bazars, or sitting in front of tea stalls.
At the same time, he requested people to strengthened the resistance against coronavirus wearing masks.
