20 February 2015, Nirapad News: Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee asked the people of Bangladesh to keep confidence on her about Teesta Water Sharing issue. She said, “I will also talk to Hasinadi about Teesta issue, leave the matter on us.”

She said that we should have an open discussion to settle down the unsettled issues of the two friendly countries. It is anissue for both ends. Padma, Meghna, Ganga, Jamuna rivers are for all of us. No one can divide us, she added.  She said that we should have an open discussion to settle down the unsettled issues of the two friendly nations.

She came up with the assertion at an ‘Adda’ in Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel in city on Friday noon. Mamata Banerjee arrived here in Bangladesh on Thursday night, on a three-day official visit at the invitation of foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali on the occasion of ‘Bhasha Dibosh’ on February 21.

The West Bengal CM also said that there is no boundary between the minds of the people of two Banglas. “I am glad to visit Bangladesh in the month of linguistic glory, honor and dignity and I smell the same essence of West Bengal here.” She added.

She also said that she is proud to be here to celebrate the International Mother Language Day. The West Bengal CM thanked Sheikh Hasina and said that there are geographical and political boundaries in two Banglas but there is hardly any soul-boundary between West Bengal and Bangladesh.
