Man burnt in Narayanganj NGO office fire, dies at DMCH
16 March 2015, Nirapad News: A man who sustained burns in a fire that broke out at the office of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Narayangaj on Sunday evening, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday morning.
The victim Nasir Uddin, 28, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of the DMCH around 6:00 am, said the in-charge of the hospital’s police outpost. Nasir Uddin received burn injuries along with 29 other people, including women and children, in a gas riser explosion in Fatulla area in the outskirts of Narayanganj city around 7:30pm on Sunday.
The injured were rescued and rushed to Khanpur and another hospital in Narayanganj city. Later, Nasir Uddin
along with other critically burnt patients were shifted to the DMCH. The other injured were receiving
treatment at the local hospitals.
