Michael Wenham is accused of stabbing prostitute Karolina Nowikiewicz, 25, (pictured) to death in a seemingly unprovoked attack at her flat.

Nirapad News : A father-of-three who was recovering from a failed penis enlargement operation stabbed a prostitute to death before calling his wife to confess, a court has heard.

Michael Wenham killed Karolina Nowikiewicz in a seemingly unprovoked attack at her flat before showering and calling the police, a judge heard.

Reading Crown Court heard how the 35-year-old married IT contractor called police to tell them he had just killed a prostitute.

When asked if it was deliberate or an accident, he replied “I don’t know” before giving his name and home address and hanging up to call his wife Dawn.

In a phone call to her, he said: “Hi, it’s me, I’ve done a stupid thing, I’ve killed someone, I’m really sorry, I’ve killed someone.”

Before the killing in February last year, Wenham called in sick to his work at the Office of National Statistics in Southampton before heading to a Screwfix store and buying a Stanley knife, disposable gloves and plastic sacks which he used in the killing.

A jury of six men and six women heard how Wenham was recovering from a failed penis enlargement operation, carried out in the USA in late 2013, at the time of the murder.

The jury was told that he still had a dressing on his penis which had affected his sex life with wife of eight years and that he was self-conscious about the size of his genitalia.

Wenham arranged to see 25-year-old Karolina at her flat in Slough, Berks., where she worked as a prostitute to fund her studies.

Prosecuting, Alan Blake said: “The killing was utterly premeditated, planned and clinically executed.

“Attacking her from behind, he sliced open her neck, cutting through her major arteries and her spinal chord. There was no evidence that she had been able to even try to defend herself,” he told the jury at Reading crown court.

He added Karolina had been chosen “because her job made her an easy target” and that no evidence of sexual activity between the victim and Wenham had been found.

Baby-faced Wenham, from Uxbridge, near Slough, Berks., denies murder.

The trial continues.
