Militancy-fanaticism and imperialism threat to the country: Menon
24 May 2015, Nirapad News: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon said militancy, fanaticism and imperialism are the threats to the country.
“Militant outfits and fundamentalist forces as well as the imperial aggression have now become threats to the whole world like Bangladesh,” he was speaking at a discussion at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Peace Council organized the discussion on ‘Ideology of Bangabandhu and World’ on the occasion of 42nd anniversary of Bangabandhu’s Julio Curie Award, with Mozaffer Hossain Paltu in the chair.
Director of Liberation War Museum Dr Sarwar Ali, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Khandker Ibrahim Khaled and president of Gatok Dalal Nirul Committee Shahriar Kabir, among others, were president on the occasion.
Referring to the ongoing war crimes trial, Menon said people of Bangladesh are united about the trial of war criminals who committed crimes against the humanity during the 1971 Liberation war.
