Minister lays foundation of bridge in Faridpur

Faridpur, 07 March 2015, Nirapad News: The present government will do everything in order to bring about changes to the neglected common people living in distant Char areas who are deprived from the attention of the authorities due to the river Padma that separates them from the mainland, said Overseas Employment and Expatriates Welfare Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain.
Khondoker Mosharraf while laying the foundation stone of a 18 meter long bridge on Mandartala khal under Aliabad union of Sadar upazilla said that after the construction of the bridge, the people of this area would reach the district town in shortest possible time and would get all facilities of health service and education including marketing of their farm products. The minister added that the Char people will be protected from the exploitation of the influential who had been snatching their rights of land and also on crops in many ways. Their rights on the charland will be protected.
The foundation laying function of the 18 metre bridge to be built at an estimated cost of Taka 52 lakhs under the Relief and Rehabilitation ministry.
