Mosharraf stresses on caring child health in Faridpur
05 November 2015, Nirapad News: LGRD & Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain said here yesterday evening that the present government has done a lot for the improvement of health sector for ensuring health services of the people.
Mosharraf was speaking to the newly elected office-bearers of local Dr. Zahed Memorial Child Hospital(DZMCH) who called on him at his Badarpur residence located in the suburb of the town.
It may be mentioned here the present 120-bed privately specialized hospital was founded by local philanthropist medical personality Dr. Md. Zahed in 1982. The hospital initially started its journey as a Sunday clinic.
Pointing to some measures taken by the government Mosharraf said that more than five thousand union health complexes have been again made serviceable with appointing of doctors and equipped with medicines for the rural people which were abandoned by the last four party alliance government.
Caring of child health is a great virtue of human being and urged upon all to take care of the children help build healthy citizens of the country.
He also called upon the philanthropists to extend their helping hand for the development of this 120-bed hospital which had been providing tremendous services for the improvement of health condition of the children not only of this district but also of the adjoining districts.
At one stage the Minister said that I prefer services to ailing humanity than doing politics and added that he would continue to look into the improvement of health services centers both government and non- government so that services can be reached to the masses.
Earlier the secretary of DZMCH Dr. Jahangir Choudhury Tito, who is also the principal of Faridpur Medical College along with other newly elected office-bearers handed over a flower bouquet to the Minister.
Among others DZMCH office bearers, vice presidents- Prof M A Samad, Md. Shahjahan Molla, joint secretaries- Salahuddin Farid, Awalad Hossain Babor, treasurer- Prof Rabindra Nath Saha and other executive members were present.
Besides, DC Sardar Sharafat Ali, Police Super Md. Jamil Hassan, Zila Parishad administrator Kazi Zainul Abedin and Sadar upazila chairman Khandker Mohtesham Hossain Babor were also present who wished success for the committee in running this unique hospital by providing services to the ailing children of this region.
