He made the blame while addressing a workshop at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in city on Sunday.
German cooperation GIZ, IIED, ICCCAD, Brac and UNDP jointly organized the workshop titled — ‘Accessing Green Climate Fund: Opportunities, Options and Challenges for the Private Sector and Civil Society Organizations (CSOS)’.
Muhith said, “An important agreement will be signed in the upcoming international climate conference set to be held in Paris. But it is pretty tough to establish a fund by taking compensation from responsible developed countries”.
“So, the private sector needs to play a vital role in this regard”.
Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu said, “The developed countries created a fund of 100 billion US dollars at Copenhagen Conference in 2009.
